I've been trying to capture what's necessary when editing comedy. Is it a matter of picking the best way a line was delivered? Is it showing the reaction shots while the punchline is met? Maybe the music cuts out on a line, or the camera zooms, or completely different character has the perfect lack of reaction and somehow that makes it even funnier.
Whatever it is, I'm still learning. But until I can define it, which I'm sure I never will, enjoy this comedy piece my friends put together for me to edit.
'Those Kids' have a good eye for writing and performing their sketches and I was thankful enough to put it all together for them.
So watch this piece and see if you can tell me what it takes to edit a comedy...
